The Fontana Community Senior Center

The Fontana Community Senior Center will open to great anticipation in the spring of 2010. Specifically, the new Center will provide a place for older adults to come together with peers, take advantage of services, and participate in activities that are reflective of their experiences and skills. In addition, the Center will support independence and encourage involvement within the Center and community at large.

The 43,855 square-foot Center is eight times larger than the current senior center and features many amenities and characteristics to appeal to the interests of Fotnana's seniors. Those that visit the Center can relax at the coffee/juice bar for their morning wake-up drink of choice while reading a newspaper or browsing the Web using the free Wi-Fi. There are also plenty of areas to meet and engage with firends, including three lounges, a card parlor, a media room and a billards room.

The new Fontana Community Senior Center will truly be a "one stop shop" with the opportunity to get your hair or nails done in the Beauty Salon; complete your daily workout in the Fitness Room; take classes in the Arts & Crafts Room or Computer Lab; or take advantage of vital health screenings, social services, counseling programs, and much more.   

Also on site is a 250-seat dining room that will host the daily nutrition program and a 300-seat multipurpose room for hosting classes, programs and community rentals. The outdoor details include a large courtyard with plenty of shade and a fireplace, perfect for picnics, special events and other programs.
